English: $1000 REWARD! will be paid of the arrest and delivery to the Sheriff of Galveston County, Texas, of THOMAS REED, late cashier of the FIRST NATIONAL BANK, of Galveston, who absconded in the morning of January 7th, 1879.

Said REED is about 52 years of age, 5 feet, 8 inches in heigh, fair complexion, dark grey eyes, bald on the top of head, dark hair and whiskers, mixed with grey, weight about 150 pounds, long feet, and in walking has a long, straight step, hands hairy on back, and a particular motion to them when walking.
