Deze les gaat over de congiuntivo en het passivum. Een werkwoordenles dus.
[bewerken] Congiuntivo
De congiuntivo, conjunctief of aanvoegende wijs wordt slechts in een paar gevallen gebruikt. Het is echter wel belangrijk en ook best moeilijk. De congiuntivo wordt gebruikt om te zeggen dat een uitspraak subjectief is, dus in geval van twijfel of onzekerheid en staatmeestal in de bijzin.
Anders dan in het Nederlands wordt in de italiaanse spreektaal de congiuntivo regelmatig gebruikt, bijvoorbeeld in Mi scusi, un' informazione (Dat u mij verontschuldige (=pardon), mag ik u iets vragen). Ook na bepaalde werkwoorden en in uitdrukkingen wordt de congiuntivo gebruikt.
De congiuntivo wordt gebruikt bij
- een verzoek
- subjectieve uitspraken (twijfel/onzekerheid), dus bijvoorbeeld na de werkwoorden credere en pensare. (hier kan de indicativo soms ook gebruikt worden). Het gaat om een mening of veronderstelling.
- een wil, hoop of wens
- een gevoel of toestand
- onpersoonlijke uitdrukkingen
- enkele voegwoorden, daarover meer in de volgende les.
- een manier of omstandigheid
Voorbeelden:
Credo che tu abbia ragione (Ik geloof dat je gelijk hebt) Penso che siano malati (Ik denk dat ze ziek zijn)

Het passief of het passivo is de lijdende vorm. Het is niet bekend wie de handeling uitvoerd. Het subject ondergaat de handeling. Het Italiaanse passief wordt gevormd door een vorm van essere of venire + voltooid deelwoord Voorbeeld:
La porta è aperta. (De deur is geopend.)
La porta viene aperta. (De deur wordt geopend.)
